CPS to consider charging Huhne and Price with Perverting the Course of Justice
Regular readers of this blog can probably imagine Aardvark dancing for joy, a fairly horrendous visual to be sure, but there is indeed deep joy at Aardvark Towers because it is looking increasingly likely that Chris Huhne will shortly be gone from political life.
The leader of the Church of Climatology in Britain, has been interviewed again by Essex Police and a file prepared for the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS).
The CPS will be considering charges of Perverting the Course of Justice against Huhne and his estranged wife Vicky Price:
Mr Huhne and his estranged wife Vicky Pryce both attended police stations and were interviewed for the second time on Wednesday.
Essex Police confirmed that they now intend to inform the CPS who will decide whether to bring charges of perverting the course of justice against Mr Huhne or his former wife.
A spokesman for the force said: “We can confirm two individuals were further interviewed on Wednesday July 20 at police stations in Essex in regards to allegations of a speeding offence.
“A file will be prepared and submitted to the CPS.”
Mr Huhne and Miss Pryce were interviewed by Essex Police in May following allegations that he asked his wife to take points on his behalf after he was allegedly caught speeding in Essex on March 12, 2003.
During those interviews Miss Pryce refused to speak with detectives, despite her previously telling a Sunday newspaper that her husband had asked “someone” to take points on his behalf.
She is said to have again remained silent during her interview. Mr Huhne denies the claims and is believed to have told detectives this during both interviews.
Evidence in the file due to be passed to the CPS includes details of the original speeding offence and a sworn affidavit, in which she admitted taking the points for the Energy Secretary, which police seized from a Sunday newspaper.
The force has also obtained a flight manifest from the night Mr Huhne is alleged to have been caught speeding.
On that evening he is said to have caught a flight which landed in Stansted at 10.23pm.
Chris Huhne is used to perverting the course of science so there is something wonderfully ironic about Huhne being in the frame for perverting the course of justice.
Huhne and his Climate Religion are the biggest danger Britain faces for energy and security, there are currently more than 6 million households in what is defined as energy poverty, the only way to prevent still more sliding into energy poverty is remove Huhne.
It does not matter how Huhne goes, just as long as the Climate Religion idiot goes.
